Register Now for the NVFC Training Summit

Scholarships available for two-day classroom training event

Registration and course selection is now open for the National Volunteer Fire Council’s (NVFC) Training Summit. The Summit will take place Friday, June 3, from 8am-5pm and Saturday, June 4, from 8am-noon in Grapevine, TX. The conference is open to all volunteer firefighters, EMTs, department leadership, and other fire department personnel from across the United States. Find out more and register now at www.nvfc.org/summit.

This two-day seminar will provide an opportunity to share ideas and best practices, network, and participate in valuable training. Attendees will be able to select six out of 12 breakout sessions to attend over the weekend, addressing firefighter cancer, behavioral health, recruitment and retention, modern fire behavior, functional fitness, and more. Click here for a full course list with descriptions and instructor information.

Grapevine, TX, located in the heart of the Dallas/Fort Worth metropolitan area, is easily accessible via the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) or Dallas Love Field (DAL). The Training Summit will be held at the Embassy Suites Dallas DFW Airport North, which provides a complimentary shuttle to DFW, breakfast, evening reception, and parking. Find more travel information at www.nvfc.org/summit.

The registration fee for the Summit is $75, which provides two days of training from nationally-recognized instructors and a hosted lunch on Friday, June 3. To help more first responders attend, a scholarship is available for select attendees. The scholarship will reimburse up to $500 per person for travel expenses, including lodging and mileage/airfare. In addition, the registration fee will be waived (or reimbursed, if you have already registered). Click here to apply for a scholarship. A maximum of two representatives per department can receive reimbursement. To be considered eligible for reimbursement, you or your department must be a current member of the NVFC. Membership options and benefits can be found at www.nvfc.org/BeYourBest.
